Geographic Routing Rules

A campaign holds the rules for one public link. Each rule has a label, a list of countries, an https destination, and an on or off switch. You also set one default destination for everyone who does not match an enabled rule.

How a rule is chosen

Rules are checked in the order you keep them. The first enabled rule that includes the detected country is the one that runs. The same country cannot be saved in two rules, so two destinations cannot both claim it. A disabled rule is skipped. If nothing matches, the default destination is used. If the default is empty, the visit is not redirected.

Destinations

A destination must be an http or https address with a public host. Private networks, localhost, and a destination on geocloaker.com itself are rejected. You can write {country} in the path when the destination should include the lowercase country code, or {COUNTRY} for the uppercase code. The optional query passthrough adds the visitor's query parameters when the destination does not already contain them.

Publishing and archiving

A published campaign keeps its public path while you edit rules. Pause stops routing until you publish again. Archive stops routing and keeps the short link, so an address you already shared still opens and explains that the campaign is archived. GeoCloaker does not remove that short link.

The country list in the dashboard is a fixed set of country names. It is not a promise that every network in that country will be detected as that country.
